Tim Bainey Jr. & the #00 Aaron’s Lucky Dog Truck Team Head to Iowa

Tim Bainey Jr. and the #00 Aaron’s Lucky Dog NASCAR Truck Series Team will look to make their 3rd start of the season this weekend as they head to Iowa Speedway for the Lucas Oil 200.

“We’ve done a lot of work in the last 2 ½ weeks,” said Tim Jr. “We’ve been getting better each time out this season, but after Bristol we found some problems and did a lot of suspension work to this truck. I’m sure we’ll still be working to figure this stuff out, but I think we’ve put a pretty good package together.”

“I also want to say a big thanks to Ken Schrader and his team. I know people probably always heard good things about him - but I just want to say – he’s a great guy – and what a great group of people he has…Those guys really helped us out after a tough day at Bristol. And I’ll just leave it at that.”

Tim Jr. does have 2 career starts at Iowa Speedway, both in the former USAR Hooter’s ProCup Series. He was running 11th in his last trip there, when an ignition problem ended his night in the #00 Aaron’s Dream Machine.

“I like the track,” answered Tim Jr. “It’s a really nice place to run, the facilities are awesome, the fan turn out is always incredible… it’s a great place to go and I’m looking forward to getting the Aaron’s Lucky Dog Truck back on the track.”

Crew Chief Dan Bainey had this to say.

”We’re getting better each week. Timmy’s learning new things every lap in the truck and I’m doing the same on top of the Pit Cart. We’re starting to get the ‘rhythm’ of things at the track. It’s just one of those things that pretty much everything has been new to us this year.”

“I’m excited with where we are at right now.”

Tim Jr. and his Aarons’ Dream Team will be competing with heavy hearts this weekend as his Grandmother (Ruth Bainey) passed away this past weekend.

“It’s been a tough weekend for our entire family,” said Tim Jr. “I’m fortunate to have one of the closest families you’ll ever meet. We’ll be thinking about everyone back home, and hopefully we can have a good run with gram in our hearts.”

The Lucas Oil 200 will be Televised Live on Speed Wednesday Night, September 5th at 9:45pm.
