Tim Bainey Jr. to Debut New Look for the Aaron’s Dream Machine this weekend at Mansfield

 

Tim Bainey Jr. and his Aaron’s Racing Team are heading to one of Tim Jr’s favorite tracks this weekend for the “Greased Lightning 250” at Mansfield Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio.

 

“I’ve always liked Mansfield,” said Tim Jr. “It’s just one of those places that I like to go. We’ve always been really good there – so maybe that’s part of the reason,” he said with a grin.

 

Something else they will have going for them is that for the first time this season, the #00 Aaron’s Dream Machine will have the new Fivestar Body for Tim Jr. and the Aaron’s Team to work with.

 

“We’ve been holding off on that,” said Tim Jr. “We were so close to being at the top of the speed charts with the older style body, but everyone is saying we needed the new nose to get that little extra.”

 

“We didn’t get the body until last Friday, so it’s been a busy few days.  But we’ve been working around the clock on it, and the “Dream Machine” should be ready to roll out of the shop sometime Thursday afternoon.”

 

Last year Tim Jr. finished 11^th in the Championship Race at the track, after running inside the top-10 most of the night. Earlier in the season Tim Jr. and the team qualified 6^th and were running as high as 3^rd before a cut down right front tire ended their night. He also has 2 Top-10’s at the track.

“We want to get a good finish in,” said Tim Jr. “We’ve been running very strong the last 2 races, but just haven’t been able to get to the end without getting caught up in something.”

 

It should be one of the strongest fields of the year as the Series rolls into Mansfield. The entry list is just shy of 50 cars already, with a few days to go.

 

“It’s going to be a tough weekend, that’s for sure,” said Tim Jr. “A lot of the top southern guys will be here because of it being a championship track later this year. But we are really looking forward to it, but that’s nothing new… we are always looking forward to hitting the race track!”
