Tim Bainey Jr. Finishes 31st in
“E-Z-GO 200” at Atlanta Motor Speedway

“It was a great experience to get started with the Fast
Track Team,” said Tim Bainey Jr. after climbing from the #48 La Famiglia
DelGrosso Chevy after exiting the race early with power steering issues.
“It wasn’t quite the finish we were shooting for,” said
Tim Jr. “But overall - for our first time out with the #48 team – getting to
know everyone, learning how to work with the crew, seeing how things are
approached, the personalities, and everything that goes on in building a
successful relationship within a team – I’d say the weekend was a success.”
It was the first time for Tim Jr. and the team to work
together at the race track, so the learning curve was pretty steep for the
whole team. But in the end, Tim Jr. and the Fast Track Team felt they took
some big steps during the weekend.
Tim Jr. would start the #48 La Famiglia DelGrosso Chevy
from the 35th position for the 200 mile event. The plan was to
get comfortable throughout the early going, stay with the pack, and then
work towards a solid finish in the end. Unfortunately a terminal problem
with the power steering system would end the team’s day early.
“We accomplished a lot in the 2 days here at Atlanta,”
Tim Jr. said. “With it being my first time out this season, along with my
first time at a track this big – it took some time just to get back into the
rhythm of things. Once I got comfortable, then we were able to work on
talking about things – communication is key in this deal and I think that
part went really well. I’m looking forward to what we might be able to do in
the future.”
“I want to give a big thanks to the entire DelGrosso
Family, DelGrosso Foods, DelGrosso’s Amusement Park, and their new La
Famiglia DelGrosso Brand for supporting us this weekend. They are great
people, and as everyone who has ever tasted a DelGrosso Product knows – they
make great stuff!”
“I also want to thank Andy Hillenburg and his Fast
Track Team,” Tim Jr. added. “We’re lining some other events up at this time.
Once we get back home and have a chance to talk with everyone we should be
making a few more announcements regarding our upcoming plans - - so we’re
looking forward to that.”
The team’s next event with Tim Jr. behind the wheel
should be announced shortly, be sure to check back at
